A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking an entry level Manufacturing Project Engineer. This position is in the Operational Excellence Department in Richland, MS reporting to the Operational Excellence Manager. The position is accountable for ensuring product/process integrity for high voltage circuit breakers through the development and implementation of systems that support internal processes such as Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering, Marketing, EHS, and Quality.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead manufacturing capacity enhancement projects to meet objectives and improve processes (cost-reduction, quality improvement, efficiency gain).
  • Plan and execute cross-functional projects (shop floor layout, Lean Manufacturing, facility expansion, tooling/fixture needs).
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes (Kaizen workshops, product and method studies).
  • Collaborate with contractors, shop floor personnel, and Operations Management; support Shop Floor 5S Program implementation.
  • Apply product design and assembly knowledge to manufacturing; develop competency with internal customers.
  • Learn Siemens Energy circuit breaker technology and career advancement opportunities within Siemens Energy US and Global organizations.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required (summer 2025 grads acceptable). Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred.
  • 1 or more years of previous experience working in a manufacturing environment (including co-ops and internships).
  • Experience with AutoDesk CAD programs.
  • Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Demonstrates initiative and ownership, strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, adaptability to changing environments, commitment to continuous learning, independent decision-making within set parameters, and team leadership qualities.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
