After completing this task, the machinist will look over their job assignments for the day, ensuring materials, tools and traceability requirements have all been reviewed and are available before starting work.

  • Perform precision turning, drilling, and milling operations while maintaining tight tolerances (up to .0002”)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD files, and technical instructions to produce accurate components
  • Inspect, measure, and test finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards are met
  • Support production flow by loading/unloading components, assisting crane operations, and operating forklifts
  • Maintain product quality through cleaning, deburring, and ensuring proper traceability and data entry in systems

What You Bring

·        High School Diploma or GED

·        Technical/formal training is strongly preferred. (i.e., Mechanical degree, Apprenticeship, Certificates)

·        Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience required or combination of education and experience.

  • Experience adjusting machine feeds, speeds, tooling, and controls to meet blueprint specifications; strong understanding of G-Code & M-Code (Siemens 840D preferred)
  • Ability to work independently with solid computer skills; able to follow technical instructions and operate with minimal supervision
  • Mechanically inclined and analytical with strong math, communication skills, and attention to detail
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
