You will be responsible for the “Turbine Manufacturing Support Dimensional and Design” group. This involves the management, setting of strategic direction/development and support of design & manufacturing of turbine hot gas path components for large gas turbines.

Key to the role is ensuring people development, manufacturing quality, design for manufacturing, On Time Delivery, product costs, digital integration and volume flexibility requirements are achieved and further enhanced within the Turbine Module and jointly across the manufacturing functions.

You will work closely with stakeholders, interface partners in engineering, manufacturing, service, procurement and program management on engine level to ensure that components will be delivered within design acceptance criteria.

The results of your work are of the utmost importance to secure consistent component supply in the large gas turbine business. Therefore, you will make an impact every single day.

  • Facilitation of organizational growth and individual development through multi‑skilling, training initiatives, structured task assignments, and the proactive creation of development opportunities
  • Assurance of parts availability and supply chain resilience through participation in part qualification activities and support of internal and external suppliers in the qualification and serial production of cast turbine blades, vanes, and ring segments in alignment with budget, quality, and timeline requirements
  • Ensuring design for manufacturability by supporting product and technology roadmaps, focusing on manufacturing processes for hot‑gas‑path components, and integrating manufacturing feedback into component design to improve process yields and cost efficiency
  • Ensuring supply chain quality by managing dispositions of non‑conformances to meet design intent and cost targets, optimizing QN processes, monitoring group metrics, and minimizing unnecessary QN generation
  • Provision of expert dimensional and design support for casting, machining, EDM and laser drilling, airflow and related processes; collaboration with cross‑functional BV and Quality teams to manage global QN and PPQ processes and to implement strategic initiatives that optimize workflows and strengthen organizational capabilities
What You Bring
  • University degree or equivalent in an engineering or manufacturing field with a minimum of 10+ years of professional experience
  • Management experience in gas turbine engineering preferred, hot‑gas‑path component design, and/or R&D project or product management, combined with demonstrated leadership, motivation, and empowerment of global teams within an international matrix organization
  • Strong understanding of modern manufacturing technologies, preferably investment casting processes, along with knowledge of metallurgical processes, material properties, and quality assurance practices
  • Knowledge and experience with the Product Process and Qualification (PPQ) process for blades, vanes, and ring segments
  • Strategic and business‑oriented mindset paired with strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, including proven ability to manage complex projects and contribute effectively within team environments
