A Snapshot of Your Day 

This role is the Head of Engineering for the SGT-A05 (legacy Rolls Royce 501) product line within the AGT business. The key management responsibilities include leading the following teams: design engineering, project/product management, and the customer technical support team. This position serves as the primary technical interface for our customers, distributors/packagers, and authorized maintenance centers. Additionally, this position will define the R&D goals for the business, own and execute the product roadmap, and serve as the focal point for product safety.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Plan and develop engineering resources for the business
  • Create budgets for technical services, core engineering, and product management
  • Manage the Product Development process for the A05 (legacy Rolls Royce 501) business
  • Managing a team 40 full time and contractors. Direct responsibility for 3 managers and a staff engineer
  • Participate in the safety board as the lead for the A05 product
  • Be a member of the first line for the A05 business and interface with sales, operations, purchasing

What You Bring 

  • BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering; master’s preferred
  • 10+ years of management in gas turbine or power turbine engineering
  • Have a track record of driving product improvements for cost, performance, reliability into turbomachinery products
  • Travel up to 25%
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees may be considered for visa sponsorship.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
