As part of a wider HR transformation program and the spin-off of Siemens Energy from Siemens, Siemens Energy is in the process of standardizing and harmonizing its HR systems and services. We are looking for a highly qualified Workday data specialist to play a pivotal role in our Workday deployment initiatives, working with colleagues across the globe, several stakeholders and internal and external partners.

How you'll make an impact:

  • You will be working to build Siemens Energy’s data strategies and models to deliver the global ambition for data that gives competitive advantages through data by providing the views, designs and leadership needed to optimise the value of data.
  • Lead on driving the roadmap with strong awareness of business opportunities and constraints, define data products, and advise how the business utilises these efficiently.
  • Engage with senior leadership to convey the opportunities available from data, support data innovation and guide the prioritisation of development to build the best business outcomes.
  • Strong governance in data ensuring global standards and quality
  • Understanding of how data in Workday affects other systems, builds a strong knowledge of data in Workday and other downstream systems
  • Supervise and optimize the performance of data processes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues

What you bring:

  • Minimum 5-8 years experience in designing and implementing Workday solutions, with a proven focus on HR modules such as Core HR, Talent Management, Integrations and Compensation.
  • Proven experience in the development of data architecture strategy and execution in large organisations would be an advantage. Track-record of defining data roadmaps with a 5 to 10-year horizon which balance known, and anticipated business need alongside enabling simplification.
  • Skills in making highly sophisticated decisions that are diligent of multiple factors including the balancing of near-term delivery with longer-term sustainability.
  • Ability to influence through building positive relationships; alongside good communication that is adapted to consider the audience environment, drivers and needs.
  • Expertise in all things data including lifecycle, technologies, data-patterns, insights, analytics and machine learning, master and reference data management, integration, data warehousing, data quality, metadata, and data compliance.
  • Outwardly looking with an excellent understanding of industry standard data strategies and trends alongside technologies and business models. Snowflake experience and certification would be advantageous alongside knowledge of core platform technologies.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures within the scope of Workday
  • Provide technical guidance on data-related issues and best practices
  • Supports in the Design and implementation of data integration solutions between Workday and other systems

In this role you will be working within the Human Resources function – HR Systems and Services, a truly global and diverse team of specialists with an open approach, responsible for guaranteeing operational performance and budget consistency of HR Systems & Services, ensuring, and maintaining fit-for-purpose HR systems and processes, safeguarding end-to-end delivery while promoting Siemens Energy digital transformation.
