A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Turbine Generator Specialty Services (TGSS) Lead, you will play a vital role in the success of our Gas Services operations. In this role, you will be responsible for safety and environmental programs in support of our field teams, with primary focus and support of TGSS. Additionally, you will manage the EHS SLEs based out of PSC when not of productive projects. You will also be an important part of the PSC team supporting training, tool design, and facility operations as needed!

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Provide EHS compliance guidance to project teams with primary focus on TGSS organization. Incident case management for TGSS.
  • Develop innovative ways to motivate the crew to maintain a strong EHS culture and maintain safe work practices.
  • Provide EHS data as required for Siemens Energy’s internal reporting.
  • Professional interaction with customer leadership and with TGSS senior leadership.
  • Support incident investigations, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of Near Miss and incidents to ensure safe work procedures are being followed with respect to Company policy, OHSA, EPA, DOT, and client/ company policy as well as applicable regulatory state and federal laws within the specified area where work is being performed.

 

What You Bring

  • BS in engineering or related field, or combined equivalent work experience and education. A degree in Safety Science is a plus! Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the EHS concepts and practices; 5+ years successful relevant experience.
  • Proficient in OSHA, Worker's Compensation, EPA, DOT, and applicable State regulations and how these regulations impact our business.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience with root cause analysis (RCA) assessment and incident investigation.
  • This position requires travel, potentially exceeding 50%.
  • Knowledge of Human Factors/Human Performance preferred.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

The EHS organization is an integral part of Gas Service. Safety is a key value of Siemens Energy and the EHS organization is valued partner in the evolution of the Siemens Energy safety culture. Our EHS team consists of a core team of professionals with varied levels of experience and expertise. We work as a collaborative team to support EHS aspects of Siemens Energy.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
