How You’ll Make an Impact
- Assist the Group Lead with the daily supervision and operation of the area. This will include such tasks as setting up the work areas and tools, reviewing materials for accuracy, reviewing work instructions and quality checklists for accuracy, and assisting in development of Risk Assessments.
- Regularly monitor actual production status versus plan. Help in determining variation in production rates and take appropriate actions or escalate problems to the appropriate resource.
- Responsible for assisting in the training of new employees in the area. In the role of trainer, it is critical that the new employees be trained to adhere to all safety and quality standards established for Siemens.
- Performs a sequence of predefined, specialized and different mechanic assembly operations, which includes specialized testing and problem analysis, in cooperation with a team of differently qualified assembly technicians.
- Performs a set of qualified assembly operations, which may include all electronic, electro-mechanic and mechanic assemblies or sub-assemblies.
- Constantly monitors availability of parts, tools and machines needed to complete product in the relevant subsequent steps of the overall assembly process.
- Contributes to plan, execute and analyze the results of test routines and procedures, often in a complex test environment
- Able to achieve the crane operator and rigger certification and complete complex lifts safely.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 year of experience as mechanical assembler preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools and lifting equipment.
- Ability to meet production standards.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, twist.
- If not already Rigger / Crane certified; will need to pass basic math skills test to demonstrate ability to obtain certification
