You are exploring the energy market of the future. You lead efforts to model power markets and derive insights that facilitate the board decisions on essential portfolio and technology discussions. You actively shape the success of the company today by defining energy market scenarios, driving modelling efforts, and coordinating across departments. Your work defines how our company views the development of global energy markets.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead effort to model energy markets, incl. power demand, generation, and transmission
  • Define scenarios for core markets and align assumptions across departments
  • Develop fundamental models using industry-standard software environments
  • Monitor crucial shifts in global energy markets deriving strategic implications
  • Establish a solid network of leaders with vision to anticipate upcoming shifts

What You Bring

  • An excellent university degree in economics, engineering, natural sciences, or business administration
  • 5+ years of experience. Extensive professional experience in driving power system modelling in a leading consulting firm, university, bank, international or national agency, or a prominent energy company
  • Deal with challenges that involve high technical and economic complexity. High passion about the technological and societal aspects of Energy transformation and working with a diverse set of people, bridging technical and non-technical audiences
  • Constantly challenge yourself to enhance your leadership skills
  • Highly persuasive with excellent communication skills in English to convince partners up to board level
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
