A Snapshot of Your Day
You and your colleague from bid management has gotten a quotation request from a customer who is building a complex power plant. Operation is of topmost concern and the requirements on the plant are high. You dig into the customer specifications to find a solution of how Siemens Energy can be a perfect match and at the same ensure that - We can hold what we promise! Eventually you and the team you work with, present an offer that is compatible and (hopefully) wins the order.
To make sure you stay up-to-date with the latest design and technology you also help the delivery engineering team in an ongoing project.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Our customers have great technical knowledge, and they also know what they want to a very deep level.
You understand our customer’s needs on one hand but also know what we are capable of and how we can meet the expectations, both technically and economically.
You:
know what we can do and what we cannot, and if you do not know you find out.
read and comment on customer’s specifications, carefully choosing whether to comply, make an exception or maybe suggest an alternative solution.
estimate cost for non standard designs.
transfer knowledge from bid phase into project execution.
We are looking for 2 types of front end engineers:
Instrumentation engineer. You know process instruments, valves, actuators etc. and how to specify and install them properly.
Mechanical engineer. You know mechanics and basic strength analysis and apply them to understand impact of external loads. You plan for how equipment and materials can physically be replaced and put in place in the field, as our customers call it - ‘Material handling’.
And, you do this together with an inspiring team of engineers.
What You Bring
Engineering degree, B.Sc. or similar, knowledge and experience in designing e.g. power plants, process industry etc. or working with product data in both engineering and plant management software. We will give you the edge needed regarding our products.
Good team work spirit, we like to be a team that learns from each other and simply has fun at work
Ability to drive and lead yourself to reach a goal or deadline
About the Team
We are building up a new team to better support our global sales team with deep technical knowledge and the ability to understand and transfer customer needs to a competitive offer. The team will consist of people with different technical expertise whom work closely with both bid management and engineering.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
