Team Leader – Repair Solutions (REP)

A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Team Lead – Repair Solutions (REP), you will lead a team of 10+ repair engineers to ensure service & repair centers operates at peak performance.  Your day will include coordinating key repair activities like digital inspection jackets (DIJ), repair reports processing, general maintenance task list (GMTL) and laser scanning data processing. You will also mentor your team, manage scheduled, drive operational efficiency, and foster a strong safety culture while ensuring smooth communication for internal and external stakeholders. Your leadership will enable operational agility, technical excellence, and a culture of innovation.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Collaborate closely with all Repair Operations Service Center Heads & CSM & Repair Engineers to deliver DIJ scope with expected quality
  • Lead a team of repair engineers (approx. 10+) to provide timely resolution of technical repairs, mainly to all global service centers

·         Responsible for the overall strategic development of REP, with a key focus on improving team capabilities and the service across ME&AP, EU&AF, NA&LA for CP & STG Product Lines

·         Accountable for the key performance metrics within REP, which include DIJ-GMTL OTD & Quality, Laser Scanning Data Processing and operational efficiency of Repairs

·         Identify ways to streamline and simplify processes and digital tools to deliver new value and timely support to Service Centers Repair Activities. Specific focus is required on the use of AI tools going forward.

·         Create clear, concise and accurate repair work instructions for variety of products/equipment’s

·         Review and revise existing repair work instructions to reflect changes in products, processes, or safety standards.

·         Laser scanning data processing and analyzing using PolyWorks or similar software to create accurate 3D models of compressors and associated components

·         Provide technical support to service/repair centers regarding laser scanning projects, data interpretation & troubleshoot related issues with findings/recommendations/technical report

·         Alignment with the other regions and the service center to drive DIJ, Laser Scanning, GMTL, and sharing of guidelines/best practices.

·         Establish a visible career development structure within the Repairs Solutions function. Staff development and retention are essential to the long-term success of Repair Business.

·         Lead by example in driving a zero-harm culture within Repairs.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 12 to 15 years of relevant experience in repair and maintenance activities of compressor (preferred) and/or steam turbines
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Proficiency in laser scanning software’s (e.g. PolyWorks or similar) and CAD (NX, AutoCAD)
  • Proven experience in technical writing, specifically in developing repair work instructions or similar documentation.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills
  • Customer Orientation and Strategic thinking
  • Collaboration and Innovative thinking
  • In depth understanding of financial and business operating models
  • Willingness to local/global travel is an important requirement for this role
  • Willingness to work in all 3 shifts as demanded by business
