A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EQS (Environmental, Quality, and Safety) Head to lead our EQS team within the GS Central Global Services Operations (GSO) organization. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining health & safety, regulatory compliance within the GSO organization. The EQS Head collaborates with GSO multi-functional teams to drive improvement initiatives.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead an international team of quality, safety, and environmental professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and track EQS KPI’s and metrics to drive continuous improvement with strong focus on nonconformance cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with the GSO functional heads to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance quality, safety, and environmental performance across all operations and projects.
  • Develop and coordinate the internal audit program of the GSO organization and the applicable external suppliers, including scheduling and completing audits per applicable standards
  • Prepare and present regular reports on quality, safety, and environmental performance, issues, and improvements to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all activities and processes follow relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards

What You Bring

  • Engineering or comparable degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field; MA degree a plus.
  • At least 10 years of combined experience in quality management, field service, construction of power generation equipment, manufacturing, or customer service.
  • Experience /Training in Management Systems and solid understanding of quality methodologies and tools (e. g. ISO9001 2015 certified Internal Auditor)
  • Proven experience in leading complex teams, ability to balance multiple projects, prioritize tasks and strong problem-solving skills and an analytical approach
  • Solid track record of working and leading multi-functional teams in a multi-national/multi-cultural environment; Strong communication and analytical skills and/or continuous improvement tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
  • Must be willing to travel (domestic and international) at least 30% of the time.

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
