A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Supplier Quality Engineer supporting our Small Gas Turbines (SGT) business, your day will focus on working closely with global suppliers to ensure component and process quality across the supply chain. You’ll lead product and process qualifications, investigate supplier non-conformances, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Internally, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold Siemens Energy’s quality standards while building strong, effective supplier relationships.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead product and process qualifications (PPQ) and fixed process change approvals in line with Siemens Energy procedures.

  • Work with suppliers to contain, investigate, and resolve non-conformances, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions.

  • Drive supplier quality improvement through performance monitoring, risk mitigation, and preventive actions.

  • Conduct supplier assessments and audits to support qualification activities and ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Apply structured root cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys, FMEA, 8D, and RCA to close out supplier quality issues.

  • Monitor and report supplier performance KPIs, identifying and managing risks as required.

  • Act as a key interface between suppliers and Siemens Energy, promoting long-term quality and performance improvement.

What You Bring

  • A solid engineering background, either time-served or degree-qualified, with experience in manufacturing, quality, or R&D environments.

  • Proven experience managing product qualifications (e.g. PPAP, APQP) and resolving supplier quality issues.

  • Strong understanding of inspection methodologies, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and quality documentation.

  • Experience using quality systems and tools such as ISO 9001, FMEA, 8D, and supplier audits.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across cultures and organisational levels.

  • Good IT and data analysis skills, including the ability to interpret quality and performance data.

  • Willingness to travel to support suppliers and internal stakeholders as required.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
