A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Supplier Quality Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will be an integral part of our mission to ensure fulfillment of requirements of our suppliers. Supporting our cross-functional commodity teams by conducting supplier and product & process qualifications, audits & assessments and developing our global suppliers is integral part of your daily contribution to implement the supply strategy. By closely monitoring the quality of deliverables and performance of suppliers, you are ensuring they are in line with our quality program and will improve the efficiency of our company.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Being responsible for all relevant SQM activities for bushings as part of a cross functional commodity team beside procurement and technology; Supporting our Products procurement organizations and its regional set-up in all SQM related aspects
- Implementing and leading SQM relevant processes for Grid Technologies Products, including the SPPQ (Supplier | Process and Product | Qualification) Process and all relevant SQM Elements
- Coordinating and leading Supplier Quality topics through collaborative activities in cross-functional teams to support the Commodity Strategy and global factory network; Performing supplier qualifications incl. supplier audits in acc. to ISO IMS standards and / or VDA6.3.
- Driving Non-Conformance Management and root cause analysis, corrective and preventive measures as well as supporting risk analysis according to product safety regulations
- Initiating and implementing supplier quality improvement measures; Increasing transparency on ScNCC´s (Supplier caused Non-Conformance Costs) and drive reduction programs and supporting related claim activities
- Implementing and negotiating GQA´s (Global Quality Agreements); Building and maintaining strong international working relationships with global supplier network and cross-functions
What You Bring
- Bachelor´s degree preferably in electrical engineering or comparable
- Several years professional experience as supplier quality manager, quality engineer or engineer, preferred for electrical / electronical parts and assembled components
- Knowledge of relevant international standards for electrical / electronical parts as well as profound knowledge in quality controls & auditing (Lead auditor or at least 1st and 2nd party auditor for ISO 9001 and preferably also for ISO14001 & 45001 and VDA 6.3)
- Knowledge with regards to software quality and general IT solutions; Working experience in technical functions in the businesses of Energy / Transmission or related industries
- Familiarity with root cause analysis and other quality & risk management methodologies
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in German and English, additional language skills are beneficial; Willingness to travel globally
