ST Valve Specialists carry out maintenance, overhaul, and troubleshooting of steam turbines and valve systems, helping to ensure reliable operation across planned and unplanned activities. The role also supports work planning, documentation, HSE compliance, and on-site guidance to teams during outages and field service work.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, overhaul, and upgrades for steam turbines and valve systems.
• Troubleshoot steam turbine and auxiliary equipment, and assist with generator or gas turbine maintenance as needed.
• Prepare and document shift activities, supporting clear handovers and job communication with team members.
• Inspect equipment components for faults, provide appropriate recommendations, and document findings.
• Plan scope of work and required spare parts, offering input to project or site management.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to colleagues and sub-contractors, ensuring health, safety, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

• Diploma, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in a technical discipline, or vocational/high school diploma/GED, with at least 4 years of independent experience in steam turbine or steam turbine valve maintenance; Siemens Energy experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical maintenance skills for power generation or Oil & Gas equipment, comfortable working hands-on under time constraints and varying site conditions.
• Ability to read and apply drawings, specifications, and unit conversions in line with international standards, with good English communication and digital literacy skills.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and improving technical solutions.
• Effective team player with good communication skills, able to work independently or in diverse teams, with shift rotation flexibility.
• Good understanding of HSE and quality standards, willing to travel and work independently at various sites and in Kuala Lumpur workshops.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
