A Snapshot of Your Day
In close liaison with the project team, the Site Manager is involved in all phases of construction including civil, structural, electrical, testing and commissioning of utility construction projects (which may include new construction or modifications or upgrades to existing substations).
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Ensure that installation work is carried out as defined in the project.
- Support the Project Manager in delivering the programme of works, quality and technical compliance, personnel, and local relations.
- Develop an effective, close working relationship with the appointed contractor(s) and the internal collaborators such as operations team to ensure that the works are delivered on time and to the highest quality.
- Ensuring and documenting that the installation proceeds according to pre-defined steps.
- If, certain tasks, when not defined, but vital for the development of the works, it is your duty to speed up their definition for the continuity of the project.
What You Bring
- Proven previous experience working on-site within technical complex projects of AIS/GIS and associated HV plant and equipment within a high voltage substation electrical environment.
- Experience in working with multiple contractors, subcontractors, equipment manufacturers, to drive construction activities to meet time and budget constraints.
- Knowledge of Quality and HSE concepts and tools.
- Customer focused and motivated to work across different cultures in an international environment. Good written and verbal communication and leadership skills for co-working with colleagues and partners with various professional backgrounds.
- Language proficiencies in Portuguese and English are required.
- Flexible and willing to travel.
