As a Senior Design Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will engage with a diverse team of professionals dedicated to delivering innovative solutions in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution industry. You will work on meaningful projects, including the design and layout of high-voltage substations, ensuring compliance with the latest standards and technologies. Your contributions will not only enhance project outcomes but also strengthen relationships with clients and partners, all while fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture that values integrity and diverse perspectives.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Prepare primary engineering documentation, including schedules and progress reports.
• Design substation layouts and control building arrangements for various projects.
• Develop civil work requirements and earthing/lightning protection systems.
• Calculate cable routing layouts and sizing for MV/HV power cables.
• Coordinate with clients and project teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Respond to non-conformances and prepare installation drawings for site execution.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in HV substation design and familiarity with Transmission and Distribution standards with a focus on Air Insulated Switchgears (AIS) and Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS). 
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office applications, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
• Experience working in multinational and multicultural environments, demonstrating integrity and high personal standards.
