A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Senior Contract Manager, within the U.S. Legal Department, assigned to the Gas Services business in Siemens Energy you will support large frame gas turbine new unit commercial contracts for the sale of equipment and/or projects throughout the Americas and suggest innovative ways to deal with contract requirements, negotiations, obligations, and exposures to internal business partners and end-customers.
The selected individual will perform a full range of contractual services throughout the entire contract management life cycle, including inception of early project development stages, the request for bid/proposal phase, contract negotiation and execution, and providing limited contract support during the implementation and subsequent contract closure phases. The successful candidate will work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team, concurrently engaged in multiple projects.
How You will Make an Impact
- Write, review, analyze, modify, and negotiate the most complex sales documents, settlement agreements, confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, and other contractual terms and conditions to achieve acceptable risk levels, all with limited oversight.
- Summarize, prepare and present risk summaries for review and approval by management.
- Perform as a member of a multi-disciplined negotiation team.
- Review and provide advice relating to high profile contracts, subcontracts, bids, equipment agreements, sales transactions, project implementation issues and general corporate matters.
- Coach, review and delegate work to lower-level professionals.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; law degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience with negotiations and communication skills, strong writing, facilitation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexible and pragmatic problem-solver who adapts well to shifting priorities, schedules, and requirements.
- Collaborative team player who thrives independently and excels in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Skilled in presenting ideas clearly, building consensus, and engaging effectively with colleagues, executives, and clients across all levels.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally by up to 20%; experience in commercial transactions and the energy industry preferred; proficient in MS Office, Salesforce, and SharePoint.

The team of legal professionals works closely with the business partners responsible for the sale of Service solutions for Siemens Energy power generation equipment in North America. The Service offerings range from master purchase agreements, urgent plant service requests, to complex long-term service and operation agreements.
