Sobre el papel
How to contribute to our vision
As the Operational Excellence Engineer, you will be the primary driver of lean activities within the Yixing factory. This role is critical for closing the gap between demand and capacity by spearheading operational improvements through lean methodologies, directly increasing output and ensuring business continuity. To achieve these objectives, this role will focus on three core areas: leading hands-on lean and continuous improvement projects, conducting detailed process analysis to optimize capacity, and monitoring performance to ensure sustainable gains. This structured approach ensures that improvement activities directly translate into increased productivity, reduced costs, and enhanced production capacity. Given the focus on data-driven process improvement, the ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a background in industrial or manufacturing engineering. They must possess proven experience in applying lean manufacturing tools in a production environment, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to work independently to solve difficult operational challenges.
What You Need To Make a Difference
- 60% Lean & Continuous Improvement Implementation
- Lead and execute lean manufacturing projects (e.g., Kaizen events, 5S, Value Stream Mapping) directly on the shop floor to improve operational efficiency.
- Identify and eliminate waste in production processes through systematic analysis and collaboration with production teams.
- Train and mentor shop floor personnel on lean principles and tools to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Drive the implementation of process changes and verify their effectiveness in improving productivity and reducing costs.
- 30% Process Analysis & Capacity Optimization
- Analyze production data, workflows, and equipment utilization to identify capacity constraints and performance bottlenecks.
- Develop and evaluate data-driven solutions to increase production capacity, such as process redesign, workflow balancing, or tooling improvements.
- Support production scheduling and capacity planning by providing accurate assessments of potential efficiency gains from improvement initiatives.
- 10% Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of lean activities on productivity, cost, and capacity.
- Prepare and present regular reports to management on project status, outcomes, and financial savings.
- Document new standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices resulting from successful improvement projects.
