A Snapshot of Your Day
As specialist in USMCA qualification of origin you’ll be responsible for analyzing the production process of complete equipment and parts that will be exported to US, analyzing the Bill Of Materials (BOM’s) among other documents to ensure they meet with the rules of origin for preferential tariff treatment for our clients in US, will be responsible for documenting processes to prevent reviews of origin, fines and any possible risk as well as manage and maintain the corresponding records. In addition, will be responsible of advise and train internal teams on USMCA rules of origin and customs compliance procedures to prevent any possible risk.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Carry out a detailed and accurate analysis of the information provided to determine if final product qualifies as USMCA originating.
- Accurate calculations of the different options to obtain the required regional content percentage of each product.
- Risk management and mitigation to prevent penalties due to non-compliance with USMCA guidelines and Customs department internal requirements.
- Ensure all supporting documentation is complete and accurate to maintain a clear traceability through the complete supply chain. As well as ensure that all supporting documentation remains in the corresponding document repository.
- In case of an audit prepare the necessary documentation, support in attending the requirement.
- By identifying and working along with the personnel of Factory El Marques, implement strategies to comply with the Rules of Origin to meet USMCA requirements.

- Deep expertise in USMCA rules of origin and qualification processes.
- Skilled in analyzing production processes and supply chains to ensure compliance with origin rules.
- Proficient in managing documentation and issuing certificates of origin.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.
- Capable of identifying calculation errors and improving processes, templates, and tools.
