Project Procurement Professional

This Project Procurement Professional role is being added to ensure business continuity and provide dedicated procurement support for all distributed projects within the Gas Services Project Management Americas team. To meet this need, the role is structured around two core areas: Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management to establish strong supplier relationships, Tactical Procurement & Project Execution to manage the day-to-day purchasing cycle, and Process Management & Compliance to ensure efficiency and adherence to standards. Given the focus on these areas, the ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert with extensive experience in project-based procurement, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in procurement systems like SAP, capable of managing complex procurement processes with limited oversight.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for project materials and services in the Americas region.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select new vendors based on project requirements, cost, quality, and delivery capabilities.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with key suppliers to secure favorable conditions and mitigate risk.
  • Manage supplier relationships and conduct regular performance reviews using defined KPIs to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process for distributed AM projects, including creating and processing purchase orders for internal and external suppliers.
  • Collaborate with project managers to align on material requirements, specifications, and delivery timelines.
  • Execute local purchasing for A65, extended scopes, and specialized project needs, including packaging solutions.
  • Oversee the delivery of goods and services from vendors, ensuring compliance with order specifications and project schedules.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize SAP and other procurement software for order processing, tracking, and generating performance reports.
  • Analyze procurement data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience (typically 5-8+ years) in project procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably within the energy or industrial sector.
  • Proven ability to manage large, complex procurement projects and processes with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
