A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Project Manager (Onshore) in Tokyo, Japan, you’ll lead the execution of industrial steam turbine and generator aftersales service projects for Siemens Energy. Your day will involve coordinating with global engineering teams, (Offshore) project management counterpart, commercials, logistics, field service, managing subcontractors, and ensuring smooth site execution from machine shutdown till return to operation. You’ll be the key interface between Siemens Energy and our customers, driving project success and building strong relationships. Expect to work in a multicultural, collaborative environment where ownership and a can-do attitude are valued.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead the execution of industrial steam turbine/generator aftersales service projects to meet quality, budget, and timeline goals.
  • Review and manage long term program and standard business contract scopes for aftersales service execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate resource planning and dispatch with global back-office teams.
  • Attend customer meetings and ensure accurate communication of site issues.
  • Support subcontractor development, including performance evaluation and agreement setup.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology, with at least 3 years of project management or technical experience. Qualified Project Manager is an advantage.
  • Background in mechanical, control, or electrical systems, especially with rotating equipment.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Japanese language, with a global mindset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with project management tools.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a multicultural team.
  • Passion for delivering profitable project outcomes and driving continuous improvement.
