A Snapshot of Your Day 

As a Project Manager (f/m/d) for Procurement Cost Control, you will work closely with the management team of GS D Procurement, GCO, Project Management and controlling. Your role is essential to monitor and forecast cost development for future projects. You will work with supply chain to mitigate cost increases, manage risks and secure capacity. The coordination and management of strategic supply chain projects will also be in your scope if they relate these objectives.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Establish, maintain, and actively manage cost baselines, procurement budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for Orion and related future projects
  • Provide cost-impact assessments for scope changes, supplier agreements, sourcing decisions, and supply chain risks, translating findings into clear recommendations for stakeholders
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives and risk-mitigation actions together with commodity managers, project management, finance, engineering, and supply chain teams
  • Use SAP and other procurement tools to extract, validate, and analyze cost data, while improving data integrity and reporting efficiency across procurement systems
  • Prepare transparent cost reports, dashboards, and stakeholder updates for the PMO and management team, and guide colleagues on cost analysis and reporting tasks
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, combined with strong project cost-control and procurement knowledge
  • Significant senior-professional experience in project cost control, financial analysis, procurement, or a comparable environment
  • Proven ability to manage costs and budgets in complex project or manufacturing contexts, including forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and risk evaluation
  • Advanced skills in ERP and procurement systems, preferably SAP MM, plus strong analytical capability and confidence using data-visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Strong collaboration, stakeholder-management, strategic-thinking, influencing, and process-improvement skills across procurement, finance, project management, and supply chain interfaces
  • Professional fluency in English

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
