A Snapshot of Your Day

The Grid Technologies Products (GT PR) business unit located in Richland, MS. is in need of a capable Production Order Planner who is hard-working. member of the Operations Planning team the Production Order Planner will be responsible for aligning the demand, inventory and supply for multiple product groups at the Richland factory. This role is expected to drive strong performance in the following objectives: Material demand/ supply alignment, material forecast accuracy, inventory turns and supply chain process improvement and customer on time shipment. This position will report to the Manager of Production scheduling.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Operate as Production Order Planner
  • Align sales order demands, forecast, inventory and production orders and purchase orders to fulfill the production and inventory requirements
  • Release production order for coding and picking
  • Support safety stock management
  • Support inventory management
  • Material substitution inventory controlling
  • Manage critical forecasted material shortages and adjust planning as required
  • Support Improvement initiatives related to production and capacity planning
  • Support Improvement initiatives related to other departments
  • Develop/manage capacity and demand planning models and forecasts

What You Bring

  • High School diploma required
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing required
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office required
  • ERP production planning knowledge required; SAP preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing to order, engineer to order, material forecast, and load/ capacity planning required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
