A Snapshot of Your Day 

As part of the Grid Enhanced Technology team and PLM for the Overhead Line portfolio, you manage overhead line monitoring and assessment solutions. These provide vital information for our customers to maintain grid operations amidst increasing demand and complexity. You will directly get in contact with customers for interviews, co-creation and support of marketing and sales activities. Your day involves responding to global stakeholder queries, defining future portfolio strategies with the team, outlining R&D work packages, and monitoring implementation progress. This requires close collaboration with development, market applications, operations, and purchasing. As a key member of our skilled and diverse team, you share our values and drive to turn challenges into valuable solutions for customers.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Use your know how in overhead line monitoring and assessment and the related technologies to drive the various aspects of the portfolio element
  • Ensure the quality of overhead line monitoring and assessment by supporting business functions like global sales, market applications or operations
  • Promote and support our digital solutions within Siemens Energy and towards customers
  • Monitor market and perform technical/commercial analyses of competitor products and services
  • Define R&D project proposals and evaluate their business impact (investment cost, profitability, product ramp-up and projected revenues)
  • Prepare R&D project requirement specifications and monitor project implementations
  • Monitoring the development of products and services and coordinate phase-in and phase-out/succession planning
What You Bring
  • Degree in engineering, business, or a similar area of expertise, or Bachelor's or equivalent experience, Master's or equivalent experience, combined with experience in product management, field service, order management, or marketing & sales
  • Long term business experience in grid technology, ideally with overhead lines, combined with a strong technical knowledge of grid technology assets and business models
  • Proficient in business English
  • Skilled in preparing and delivering presentations to both external customers and internal management
  • High level of self-management
  • Capable of leading and collaborating within global teams
  • Entrepreneurial and strategic thinker with the ability to make informed decisions
