Join our Rotor Build team as a Senior Para-Professional, where your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing our production capacity to meet the growing demand for gas turbines. You will engage in precision mechanical assembly of gas turbine rotors, ensuring that every component is crafted to exact engineering specifications. Imagine utilizing your skills in quality control and inspection to uphold our high standards while also providing operational support through troubleshooting and process improvement. Your contributions will not only help us achieve our manufacturing targets but also foster a safe and efficient production environment.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will assemble and fit complex components for gas turbine rotors, following detailed engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized tooling to perform precise mechanical fitting tasks.
  • Set up and operate machinery and equipment for the rotor build process, ensuring correct alignment and tolerances.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks and inspections using precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine and non-routine assembly problems to minimize production downtime and enhance operational efficiency.


What You Bring

  • You have completed a formal apprenticeship or hold a vocational qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3) in Mechanical Engineering or a related skilled trade.
  • You bring demonstrable experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a high-precision manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • You are proficient in interpreting assembly drawings and using precision measurement tools.
  • You have experience working under limited supervision and analyzing non-routine technical problems.
  • Your technical abilities include mechanical aptitude, hand tool operation, and troubleshooting skills.
