This role is a key position ensuring the continuity, stability, and effectiveness of local IT operations within the Digital Manufacturing & Operations organization in Hungary.
It plays a critical role in safeguarding service reliability, maintaining high-quality user support, and enabling the seamless continuation of ongoing digitalization and improvement initiatives following an internal team transition.
The position is designed around three core responsibility areas:
- End-User and Technical Support,
- IT Infrastructure and Systems Management, and
- IT Project and Process Support.
This structure ensures comprehensive coverage of daily operational needs, proactive system maintenance, and active contribution to local and global IT initiatives supporting manufacturing operations in factory and office environment.
In this role, the successful candidate will act as a trusted IT specialist to the business, bridging shopfloor operations and central IT, while ensuring compliance, stability, and continuous improvement of the IT landscape.
The position requires a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to manage diverse technical topics across infrastructure, applications, and user environments.
The ideal candidate brings proven experience in IT support, system and physical network administration, and structured problem-solving within a dynamic environment, preferably in manufacturing or industrial contexts. A relevant degree combined with practical experience in a broad IT generalist role is essential, along with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Provide general IT support for factory and office users, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Manage end-user devices throughout their lifecycle, including setup, maintenance, and replacement
- Administer IT services and permissions. Support and maintain workplace IT infrastructure, including physical networks and workstations
- Document incidents and solutions in the IT service management system
- Collaborate closely with local IT team, global IT teams, global service providers, and vendors to ensure reliable and continuous IT operations
- Participate in IT projects, hardware deployments, and software rollouts
- Drive continuous improvement by supporting automation, standardization, and process optimization initiatives
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 2 years proven experience in a generalist IT support or system administration role, consistent with an experienced professional level
- Experience in IT support, troubleshooting, and end-user assistance
- Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and workplace IT environments
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, local area networks (LAN), network segmentation and basic system administration
- Familiarity with IT service management and issue tracking tools
- Knowledge of IT security and cybersecurity best practices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with users, vendors, and global support teams
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
IT team ensures secure, reliable, and efficient digital operations across the factory and office, enabling business continuity, supporting end users, and driving digital transformation in manufacturing.
