A Snapshot of Your Day                                                                    

In the role of Commissioning Engineer for Medium Gas Turbines Field Service, you'll work at a customer job site(s) primarily in the US or Canada but also globally when needed. The MGT 600-800 Field Service Commissioning Engineer is a Region North America Field Service Representative position reporting to the Medium Gas Turbine Fleet Manager in the Siemens Energy group, based in the USA.

This is a position responsible for performing various facets involving the installation, commissioning, and servicing of the company’s nameplate MGT 600-800 product lines. The position is the primary source of technical information and services at our customer sites.

The FSR serves as the link between our customers and the rest of the company including but not limited to management, sales, and technical support. Our FSR’s maintain the highest levels of professionalism and premier service attitude. 

This role requires a dedicated training program to become a certified Siemens Energy CE. Training is conducted partly in the US and in Sweden.

·         The company’s “face” to the customer, while working on the customer job site.   

·         Aim to build strong customer relationships by having and maintaining a positive attitude.  

·         Maintaining good progress in co-operation with both the customer team and Siemens Energy project team.

·         Gain a broad knowledge on different Siemens Energy Gas Turbine types, which provides versatility. 

·         Grow in the role through different levels of competence and in different roles (flexibility).  

·         Represent Siemens Energy and our industry leading service    

What You Bring                 

·        High School diploma, GED or technical vocational or apprenticeship training, combined with prior control field service or equivalent related experience.    

·         2 + years of experience in instrumentation and control systems, PLC’s, etc.           

·         Previous Gas Turbine knowledge and experience is an advantage but not strictly required.          

·         Experience working in the field within industry with focus on mechanical and/or electrical work.        

·         Experience from managing/leading small teams in an advantage but not required.         

·         Must be willing to travel both in the US/Canada region but also globally and work for 1-6 weeks at a time (occasionally longer); Typically, the role is on active assignments about 250 days per year.

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers and SEI employees who are able to obtain authorization in the USA.
