A Snapshot of Your Day

As an MGT-800 Mechanical Engineer Installation & Service at Siemens Energy, you will lead field service mechanical activities on complex projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and a satisfactory handover to the customer. Your role will involve providing technical oversight for MGT-800 rotating equipment across the Middle East, mentoring junior field service engineers, and offering critical support during customer emergencies. You will also provide office-based technical support and collaborate with sales and project management teams for pre-bid technical clarifications and estimations.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Lead mechanical activities and engineering modifications to ensure customer plants perform to specifications.
• Review plans, drawings, and schematics while providing mentorship throughout project execution.
• Collaborate with site management to safeguard the company’s commercial interests during mechanical activities.
• Represent the company in customer meetings to update on mechanical progress and address any issues.
• Conduct complex site surveys and provide detailed reports for modifications and upgrades.
• Train junior field service engineers and customer operators on sophisticated equipment maintenance and commissioning procedures.

What You Bring

• Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or equivalent education, or vocational qualifications with 7-10 years of related engineering experience.
• Proven technical proficiency in new unit installation and commissioning for power generation products.
• Hands-on experience and fixing knowledge of MGT.GB & GN systems.
• MGT certification is a merit, along with familiarity with Siemens Energy SAP.
• Over 10 years of core experience with MGT-800, SGT-600, and rotating equipment field alignment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, fostering a collaborative team culture focused on technical excellence and customer satisfaction.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet
