A Snapshot of Your Day
As an M&A accounting and valuation expert, you will be dealing with:
Co-ordination and supervision of M&A projects with regard to accounting issues, purchase price allocations. Providing support on impairment testing and related accounting matters. Responsibility for the further development of internal guidelines in the areas of M&A accounting, valuation and consolidation. Providing technical support to the business on accounting policy issues related to M&A accounting, consolidation and valuation. Co-ordination and alignment of accounting-related issues with the internal and external auditors.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Support M&A processes with your accounting and valuation expertise, enabling Siemens Energy to drive structural changes.
- Company valuations according to IFRS and HGB and prepare impairment testing for IFRS Group reporting
- Cultivate and sustain positive connections with internal and external partners.
- Deliver high-quality analyses of complex M&A accounting topics to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with external reporting requirements and financial disclosures in a global business environment.
What You Bring
- Degree or equivalent experience in economics, ideally with a focus on international accounting, auditing, company valuation and/or taxation
- Long-term professional valuation and accounting experience in an auditing firm, ideally with M&A experience, or in the accounting department of an international corporation
- Extensive knowledge of accounting and valuation regulations according to IFRS and HGB
- Experience of project-related topics in a team-oriented, dynamic environment
- Fluent German and English language skills coupled with analytical skills and a focus on results round off your profile.
