A Snapshot of Your Day

Siemens Energy’s US Technical Sales Team within Grid Technologies Services is seeking a motivated and organized professional to join as a Lead Estimator/Proposal Specialist. This role supports front-line technical sales by developing proposals for equipment maintenance, construction, and O&M contracts related to substations, particularly in brownfield GIS and EPC projects. The position involves close collaboration with Siemens Energy account managers, business unit sales, and other internal teams to define strategy and scope.

Service offerings focus on transmission substations, including full substation maintenance and turnkey solutions. Core services include transformer and breaker maintenance, GIS/AIS servicing, and long-term service agreements (LTSAs) for substations and their assets

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Collaborate with Marketing to align and contribute to initiatives that support Sales efforts.
  • Assist leadership in gathering Voice of Customer (VOC) insights to inform new product development, product enhancements, and service offerings.
  • Promote effective use of customer relationship management (CRM) tools, such as Salesforce.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; Electrical Engineering is a plus.
  • 8–10 years of relevant experience in estimating utility-focused construction and services.
  • Proven ability to interpret specifications, scopes of work, and drawings.
  • Strong communication, time management, and team collaboration skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to develop competitive bids and strategies tailored to customer needs.
  • Solid understanding of the industry landscape, including business trends, customer challenges, and regulatory factors, with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding goals.
