A Snapshot of Your Day

On a typical working day, you organize and participate in internal and external alignment meetings during  the execution phase of large power plant projects. You are responsible for selection, ordering and tracking of substantial spare parts packages until final hand-over to the respestive project management teams.  Therefore, you screen project specifications and requirements to ensure a contract compliant spare implementation for New and Service Projects. As Part of your daily business, you are close contact with your internal colleagues to exchange project experience and share best practice.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You are responsible for the successful and timely processing of initial spare parts for power plant equipment within New Unit and Service contracts.
  • You clarify the contractual scope of delivery and align the spare parts packages based on technical recommendations.
  • You initiate orders to internal and external suppliers via SAP together with the purchasing department and ensure a proper order and delivery tracking.
  • You are responsible for project controlling and coordinate interfaces, deadlines and services with internal and external contractual partners and customers.
  • You accompany the project with spare parts during the warranty period.
  • You work in international project teams for large power plant projects worldwide.


What You Bring

  • Mechanical / Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent technical background with at least 1 year experience in similar functions.
  • Working experience in the areas of project or proposal management in the field of power generation business.
  • Keen interest in supporting the energy industry to increase productivity, energy efficiency, decarbonization of infrastructures and society in general and support the energy transition journey.
  • Focused, organized, and receptive to other people opinions and views, ability to analyze and collaborate efficiently with teams.
  • Drive, energy, persistence, and capability to enthusiasm people around you
  • MS Excel, MS Windows, MS Office knowledge, SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Demonstrate business acumen and ability to work independently as well as lead project specific teams for spare part implementation.
  • Keen to learn and adapt approach to incorporate additional technologies or solutions.
  • Capability to follow processes but still be proactive and think outside the box.
  • Great communication skills. Fluent in English – Mandatory. German is a plus.
  • Ability to keep focus on all times to assure high quality in the work you deliver.
  • Easily adapt to different type of projects, teams, partners, and workload fluctuations.
  • Cultural Sensitivity as we work with partners all around the world.

In our Business Unit Generation, we offer a broad portfolio of cutting-edge technologies, services, and solutions for centralized and decentralized energy production. Our team takes care of the spare parts processing of the initial equipment packages of a complete power plant for new plants and service projects mainly within the region Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia.

These spare parts packages serve as risk provisioning during commissioning and ensure operation and plant availability during the plant's warranty phase.
