A Snapshot of Your Day

Build and lead all aspects of hybrid (on-prem + cloud) infrastructures supporting Siemens Energy's industrial digitalization solutions. With deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and established experience in GCP and AWS, you’ll ensure secure, reliable, and scalable integration between OT environments (plants, edge) and cloud platforms to enable data services, analytics, and operations at scale.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Handle the reference architecture for hybrid industrial workloads (edge/on-prem ↔ cloud), prioritizing security, reliability, and cost.
• Managing deployments of cloud and edge components (connectivity, data ingestion, storage, processing, observability).
• Enable secure OT–IT integration (private endpoints, VPN/Express-Route, zero-trust patterns, identity & secrets).
• Guide Infra-as-Code and CI/CD practices for consistent, auditable environments.
• Optimize performance and cost (right-sizing, autoscaling, data lifecycle, FinOps guardrails).
• Collaborate with automation, data, and product teams to translate operational requirements into cloud capabilities.
• Supply to solution reviews, proposals, and customer workshops for elaborate bids and deliveries.

What You Bring

• 7+ years crafting, building, and operating cloud/hybrid infrastructure for production systems.
• 5+ years hands-on with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, security, IAM, monitoring).
• Practical experience with GCP and AWS (at least 2+ years combined in real projects).
• Strong hybrid integration skills: site-to-cloud connectivity, private networking, DNS, certificates, edge/IoT.
• IaC & DevOps: Terraform (or Bicep/ARM), Git-based workflows, pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps), artifact registries.
• Containers & Orchestration: Kubernetes/AKS (or similar), registry, ingress, telemetry, backup/DR patterns.
• Data paths: secure ingestion from OT/edge (e.g., OPC UA/MQTT → IoT Hub/Event Hubs/PubSub/Kinesis), storage tiers, governance.
• Security-by-design approach (identity, secrets management, policy-as-code, vulnerability management, compliance).
• Effective collaborator communication with multi-functional and international teams.
• Degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, or proven equivalent experience.
• Proficient English; knowledge of other languages is an asset.
• Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-305, AZ-104, AZ-400) or equivalents in GCP/AWS, as well as experience in energy/process industries or relevant OT environments, are a plus.
• Familiarity with edge runtimes (Azure IoT Edge, Kubernetes at the edge), time-series/observability stacks.
