Job Description – Strategy Lead (SEITIPL) Role Title Strategy Lead – SEITIPL Reporting To Managing Director, SEITIPL Location Pune / Gurugram / Ahmedabad (with frequent engagement across SEITIPL locations) Role Purpose The Strategy Lead will be a key advisor to the Managing Director and the SEITIPL leadership team, responsible for shaping and driving the company’s 5‑year growth roadmap.The role will translate strategic ambition into clear priorities, executable initiatives, and measurable outcomes across growth, operational efficiency, productivity improvement, cost transformation, and cross‑entity collaboration. This role combines strategic thinking with strong execution orientation, working hands‑on with business leaders across Operations, Engineering, Sales, Services, Finance, and HR.

How will you make an Impact! 

  • Long‑Term Growth & Strategic Roadmap Develop and continuously refine the 5‑year strategic roadmap for SEITIPL, aligned with Siemens Energy global and regional priorities. Identify growth levers across markets, products, services, capabilities, and delivery models. Support portfolio choices, investment prioritization, and capacity planning based on medium‑ to long‑term demand outlook. Drive fact‑based strategic reviews and scenario planning for the MD and leadership team.
  • Operational Strategy & Business Performance Define and drive operational strategy focused on scalability, resilience, and competitiveness across sites. Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to translate strategy into clear operational priorities. Support performance management through KPIs, dashboards, and structured management reviews. Identify structural bottlenecks and systemic improvement opportunities across the value chain.
  • Productivity & Efficiency Improvement Lead productivity improvement programs across functions and locations. Design and track efficiency improvement plans, focusing on simplification, standardization, and digital enablement. Work with functional leaders to embed productivity targets into annual operating plans. Ensure benefits realization through disciplined execution and follow‑through.
  • Cost‑Out & Margin Improvement Initiatives Drive cost‑out initiatives across operations, engineering, overheads, and indirect spend. Support structural cost improvement (not just short‑term savings), including footprint, make‑vs‑buy, and process efficiencies. Partner closely with Finance to track savings, validate benefits, and sustain improvements. Enable a cost‑conscious mindset while balancing growth and capability building.
  • Cross‑Entity & Cross‑Function Initiatives Support and coordinate cross‑entity initiatives with other Siemens Energy legal entities and global stakeholders. Act as a central integrator for “One India” initiatives, ensuring alignment, speed, and clarity of ownership. Drive selected strategic transformation projects sponsored by the MD. Support governance, milestone tracking, and executive decision‑making for complex initiatives.
  • Leadership Support & Strategic Governance Act as a thought partner and sounding board to the Managing Director. Prepare high‑quality strategic materials for leadership meetings, board reviews, and global discussions. Ensure strategic initiatives have clear charters, ownership, milestones, and success metrics. Help build strategic capability and structured problem‑solving mindset across the organization. What you Bring! 

  • Qualifications & Experience Essential MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Strategy, Business, or Operations.
  • 10–15+ years of experience in strategy, operations, transformation, or business leadership roles, preferably in industrial, engineering, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong experience in operational strategy, efficiency/productivity programs, and cost‑out initiatives.
  • Proven ability to work with senior leadership and influence without formal authority.
  • Strong analytical, structuring, and problem‑solving skills with an execution mindset.
  • Desirable Experience in multinational or matrix organizations. Exposure to engineering, manufacturing, or project‑based businesses.
  • Prior experience in driving cross‑entity or cross‑country initiatives. Critical Success Factors Ability to connect long‑term strategy with day‑to‑day execution Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills Structured, data‑driven approach with pragmatic business judgment
