A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

Siemens Energy Gas Services Central Large Generators Manufacturing Business Unit is seeking a Finance Analyst to be an integral member of this highly visible, dynamic, and hard-working team!

As a member of the finance team, you will have primary responsibility for project / product & inventory controlling, collaborating with technical and financial partners in support of project execution and related activities.

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
  • Responsible for Commercial aspects of Fort Payne Plant including Project / Product Cost Controlling, Material Cost Controlling, Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Reporting of financial status for assigned projects/product portfolio.
  • Develop Transfer Price, controlling and identification of financial risks and opportunities within area of responsibility.
  • Collaborate with Technical Order Managers, Planners, Procurement, and others in support of Product Cost Controlling.
  • Ensure accuracy of Project / Product costs books and Records and maintain compliance with financial guidelines.
  • Responsible for Inventory Management with focus on Raw Material inventory development, WIP Analysis and Inventory Reserve.
  • You will support the transformation into a digital controlling environment by implementing modern front-end tools, training the employees, and promoting digitalization projects.

What You Bring (requirements)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, Project Management, or a closely related field
  • 5+ years of Professional Experience
  • Detailed understanding of GAAP and IFRS
  • Solid understanding of FI/CO transactions and procedures in SAP ERP and Hyperion / Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization. Self-motivated; can be counted on to exceed goals optimally; constantly and consistently one of the top performers; very bottom-line oriented; consistently pushes self and others for results
  • Proven capability of driving standardization of financial processes and continuous process and performance improvement
  • Must be able to identify issues and resolve them independently and as part of a team.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
