A Snapshot of your day

Join us as Financial Head for Grid Technologies – Substations Western Europe & Africa and take a decisive role in steering the financial and commercial success of the subregion. You’ll work side‑by‑side with the Technical Head to drive impactful strategies, deliver both financial and qualitative KPIs, and maximize customer satisfaction. Every day you’ll balance performance management with hands‑on leadership, enabling your team to succeed while safeguarding growth and profitability. Your work will influence how we meet ambitious targets and strengthen our market position across Western Europe & Africa.
 

How you'll make a difference

• Co lead the Substations business in West Europe & Africa together with the Head of the Substations sub region, acting as a strategic finance partner to the business

• Provide high quality financial insights, analyses, and recommendations to support business steering, strategy execution, and executive decision making

• Continuously monitor targets versus actual performance and drive effective management actions to achieve the financial objectives defined by the Execution Unit

• Ensure transparency of actual results, forecasts, and key performance indicators; prepare, coordinate, and drive the full business planning and forecasting process

• Present business results clearly and convincingly, including comprehensive variance, risk, and opportunity analyses

• Lead, develop, and empower the finance team (21 employees across 5 countries) within the rapidly growing Substations business, fostering a high performance and collaborative culture

• Drive initiatives to improve profitability, cash flow, and working capital, while enhancing process efficiency and cost discipline

• Promote continuous improvement, productivity gains, and compliance with safety, governance, and internal control standards

• Collaborate closely with all key stakeholders in France, West Europe, Africa, and at headquarters, within a complex matrix organization

• Take overall responsibility for financial risk management, internal controls, and compliance within your sub-region

• You will work in a highly motivating and truly international environment with significant business exposure

• You will be an integral member of the Execution Unit’s management team for Substations Europe & Africa, working closely with senior leadership and influencing strategic decisions

• You will have the opportunity to broaden and deepen your experience in international solutions, large scale projects, and cross regional business operations


What you bring

• You have several years of professional experience in solutions, commercial project management, sales, and ideally in controlling or management accounting

• You have proven experience in a leadership role, such as managing a department or a business activity at country or regional level

• You bring solid experience in project financing and project driven business models

• You possess a strong understanding of global processes, products, and end to end value flows within complex organizations

• You hold a professional qualification or academic background in business administration, finance, or a related field

• You enjoy working in non hierarchical, international, and cross cultural environments with matrix structures

• You are highly motivated, open minded, and have strong communication skills, enabling you to create impact and drive alignment without formal hierarchical authority

• You are fluent in English; proficiency in French is preferred. Additional languages are an advantage
