A Snapshot of Your Day

Siemens Energy Colombia is looking for a Field Service Engineer to perform complex and technically demanding work on-site in a specialized area of Field Service for Heavy and Industrial Gas Turbines, or Generators, as required for the different service customer contracts.

The key responsibilities are to ensure that the contract and associated works are professionally administered on a day-to-day basis. The role will require you to work such reasonable hours that the job may from time-to-time demand and will include out of hours standby / call out services.

How You’ll Make an Impact

       Conduct teams of field service engineers, technicians and craft labor personnel in the installation, repair maintenance, and troubleshooting of combustion turbines, steam turbines and generators at various customer sites.

       Coordinate and manage staffing of project team at customer sites.

       Provide combustion turbine knowledge and expertise to division management, customer management, product line management and suppliers.

       Review and execute customer contract requirements.

       Prepare and forward accurate reports concerning the condition and repairs and recommendations for customer equipment.

       Prepare detailed technical reports and complete check sheets.

       Compile Technical and Safety Documentation for planned and un-planned maintenance.

       Comply and/or enforce the protocols, policies guidelines, and competencies of the current integral management system (EHS, Quality).

       Identify sales opportunities to increase company revenue.

What You Bring

 

       University Degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineer or similar (bachelor’s degree).

       Professional experience (4+ years) as mechanical field service engineer.

       Technical knowledge on combustion turbines, electrical generators and associated auxiliary systems.

       Good verbal communication skills with the ability to fluently speak, write, and read in English, at professional working proficiency level.

       Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 80% of time (sometimes at little or short notice)

       Competences: Customer orientation, flexibility, results orientation.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for Field Service Technician to join our team. Working on site and at various operational locations throughout Latin America, and the entire world, the successful candidate will take a lead role in scheduled and breakdown maintenance of both OEM and non-OEM Gas/Steam Turbine fleets. You will have the opportunity to work within one of the fastest growing areas of the Siemens Energy business. You will be required to carry out all day-to-day field service, maintenance and/or installation activities with minimal direction ensuring compliance with customer satisfaction, quality and safety standards while leading by example
