A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Field Service Specialist for Industrial Steam Turbines, you will be responsible for preparing and performing assembly and service work on steam turbines at customer sites across Korea, Japan, and the Asia Pacific region. The role includes supporting service activities during planned outages and assisting with new equipment installations to ensure safe and efficient operations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Ensure site safety and readiness, adhering to Siemens Energy’s Zero Harm standards and reporting incidents or near misses.
• Verify conformity of tools, work equipment, and spare parts before use.
• Execute planned workscopes in line with approved work documents and procedures.
• Communicate daily work plans and toolbox talks to mechanical fitters and monitor on-site progress.
• Advise the Project Manager on additional scope, schedule impacts, and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with Technical Support to resolve issues and prepare final reports for project closure and invoicing.

What You Bring

• Qualified Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience working on Steam Turbines, Gearboxes, Generators, and related equipment.
• Holds an educational or vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
• Experienced in field operations, including coordination with customers and third-party contractors.
• Strong communication and organizational skills to support effective teamwork and site execution.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work away from home for extended periods.
