A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Field Service Engineer specializing in Instrumentation & Control (I&C), you will provide expert technical services and advice to customers in the power generation and refinery sectors. This role is central to our service operations, involving on-site and remote commissioning, installation, testing, and maintenance of complex I&C systems. You will be a key technical point of contact, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of critical industrial equipment. The core responsibilities include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, executing hardware and software updates, and troubleshooting system issues to minimize downtime.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on I&C systems at customer sites and via remote access.
- Execute software and hardware updates to ensure system integrity and performance.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical faults in power plant and refinery environments.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures for control systems, including patch management and vulnerability assessments.
- Conduct the installation, commissioning, and testing of I&C products and equipment.
- Ensure new installations comply with industry cybersecurity standards and best practices for OT environments.
- Optimize project-specific control sequences and logic according to operational procedures.
- Manage and configure field instrumentation to ensure accurate data acquisition and control.
- Act as a primary technical advisor for customer inquiries and implementation challenges.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics, Control and Automation, or a related technical field.
- Equivalent practical experience (typically 3-5 years) in field service for industrial I&C systems may be considered
