This position is fully remote - maintenence work is done directly at clients' facilities, other task are completed in Home-Office. We welcome candidates living in any part of Germany to apply!


A Snapshot of Your Day 

On a customer project in a power plant somewhere in the world:

After the morning briefing, you will go to the site, switch on pumps and adjust the settings of different auxiliary systems of a large generator in order to start it up and synchronize it with the power grid. On the way you have solved unexpected problems, optimized control parameters and performed many tests in close collaboration with other engineers. At the end of the day, you will be proud and satisfied about what you have achieved and know that you have brought an energy power plant one step closer to completion and to provide electricity for the society.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Perform commissioning of electrical generators starting from single component to the full system (incl. generator auxiliaries) according to specifications and engineering documents, including functional tests and logic interlocks verification and reports.
  • Perform fact-finding activities and electrical tests on generator components during service outages.
  • Compile records to document condition of equipment and assure quality, provide required documentation and reports in accordance with procedures. 
  • Prepare and execute tests to prove operational readiness. 
  • As a Commissioning Engineer (f/m/d), you will independently service power plant components (electrical generators) worldwide.
  • Carry out troubleshooting, analyzing customer problems, liaising with Engineering and implementing remedial measures.

What You Bring

  • Ein Deutscher oder EU- Reisepass ist eine Voraussetzng
  • Bachelor/ Master of Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics and Process), fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, work experience in the relevant field of work is a plus.
  • Detailed understanding of technical equipment and ability to work with technical documentation. Knowledge of general power plant technology.
  • Experience in power plant operations and maintenance. Experience with Siemens Energy Generator operations and maintenance know-how is advantageous.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical English is mandatory, knowledge of German would be beneficial.
  • Strong analytical skills with an affinity to technology and innovation combined with a proactive and convincing attitude
  • Team player with high level of resilience, the ability to work independently under pressure, multitask and focus on problem solving in a complex environment collaborating with international teams 
  • High degree of flexibility, unrestricted mobility, ability to work in a team and communication skills in relation to foreign countries and cultures 
  • Willing to extensively travel internationally on short notice and work flexible hours

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
