A Snapshot of Your Day

Siemens Energy is looking for a committed employee to strengthen our Industrial Generator fact-finding department and take on the daily challenges of the dynamic service business in region north America.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Responsible for the condition diagnosis of air-cooled generators of various types and designs with an output between 15 to 300 MVA on reginal North America service projects.
  • Perform inspection of all main components of the machine (stator, rotor, excitation, bearings) and auxiliary equipment (e.g. cooler) according to defined criteria.
  • Carry out electrical diagnostic measurements (measurement of winding resistances, insulation resistances, diode tests, etc.) on high and low voltage windings and evaluate them in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Preparing and presenting the findings for external customers and internal contract partners.
  • Working together with Service Engineering to develop optimization and repair recommendations.
  • Supporting project management and service sales in achieving strategic sales targets; remote technical support when not on field assignment.

What You Bring

  • Completed studies in electrical engineering, preferably in the field of electrical machines / power engineering, or comparable electrical engineering training is preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and technical consulting skills.
  • Strong service approach and the ability to work and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ideally, you already have professional experience in the design, manufacture, or maintenance of electrical machines / generators.
  • Experience in fact finding on electrical machines, carrying out and evaluating electrical measurements is desirable.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.

This role may be based in various locations across the United States. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits, including paid time off and holiday pay. For positions based in the United States, the base salary range is $105,000 - $195,000 annually, and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary.

Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
