A Snapshot of Your Day

This role within the Grid Technologies Engineering team in Latin America is designed to integrate robust cybersecurity into new energy projects while also championing cybersecurity awareness and governance across the organization. The position is critical for securing the operational technology (OT) infrastructure of Transmission Substation, FACTS and Energy Storage solutions, ensuring both project success and a strengthened overall security posture for the business.

The Industrial Cybersecurity Officer will balance technical project responsibilities with organizational enablement. This includes designing secure OT architectures and managing vulnerabilities, as well as providing guidance on cybersecurity policies, advancing security objectives within local teams, and fostering a proactive security culture. A key aspect of the role is to act as a central point of contact for cybersecurity support, helping teams navigate security requirements and adhere to corporate mandates.

The ideal candidate is a professional with deep expertise in OT/ICS cybersecurity standards. Beyond technical acumen, they must be a strong collaborator and communicator, capable of working independently on complex projects while also building and supporting internal cybersecurity communities. This professional will translate business needs into effective security solutions and drive the adoption of best practices throughout Siemens Energy.
