Sobre el papel
A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our dynamic team as a Compressor Aerodynamicist, where you will engage in both preliminary and detailed aerodynamic design activities. You will utilise cutting-edge 1D, 2D, and 3D design and analysis tools, including steady-state and unsteady CFD simulations, to innovate in intake and diffuser design, aerofoil and flow-path design, and compressor bleed modelling. Your expertise will also extend to developing Variable Guide Vane schedules and assessing aero-mechanical behaviour, applying your knowledge to tackle challenges like forced response and blade vibration. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will support engine and rig testing programs, conduct pre- and post-test analyses, and contribute to fault-finding and root cause investigations, all while leveraging your coding skills to enhance our technical tools and methods.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will lead aerodynamic design activities using advanced CFD simulations to optimise compressor performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and refine Variable Guide Vane schedules and compressor bleed models.
- Assess and analyse aero-mechanical behavior, focusing on forced response and blade vibration challenges.
- Define and support engine and rig testing programs, ensuring thorough pre- and post-test analyses.
- Contribute to the development of innovative technical tools, including machine learning and optimisation software.
What You Bring
- A Master’s Degree in aerodynamics or a related discipline is preferred.
- Previous exposure to gas turbine engineering and technology is advantageous, but newly qualified candidates are welcome to apply.
- Strong coding skills and familiarity with CFD solving and meshing tools.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Advanced English proficiency to communicate technical concepts clearly.
