A Snapshot of Your Day
The Commercial Project Manager (CPM) is an integral part of the Finance team for the Gas Services Distributed business organization. The CPM works with the Project Manager to implement Power Plant Projects, typically ranging from $20M to $300M!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Work in collaboration with the project managers to complete assigned projects according to defined guidelines and contractual agreements.
- Responsible for project financials including monthly revenue recognition, financial planning, risk and opportunity management, and optimizing profit margins & cash flow.
- Ensure achievement of contract requirements (e.g. performance guarantees, insurance, taxes, contractual, etc.)
- Full responsibility for all finance-related project topics, including but not limited to handling Accounting, Legal, Tax, Foreign Exchange, and NCM.
- Prepare and present project status reports to various levels of management.
- Special assignments and interaction with internal partners and external auditors as required.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/ business administration/ accounting is required or equivalent experience as commercial project manager.
- 3+ years of professional experience in Business Administration or in Finance, preferably with experience in Project Management; candidates with more years of experience may be eligible for a higher-level position.
- Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS, percentage of completion (PoC) accounting, and strong skills with Microsoft Office applications is required, and SAP experience is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Travel up to 15% is required; must have the ability to acquire a passport
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
