A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Commercial Project Manager (f/m/d), you will act as the financial co-pilot for steam turbine and generator projects, partnering closely with Order Managers and cross-functional teams throughout the entire project lifecycle. Your day will involve managing project controlling activities, analyzing financial performance, preparing forecasts and reports, and ensuring transparency across costs, risks, and opportunities. By leveraging your analytical mindset and digital affinity, you will contribute to efficient project execution and support strategic decision-making in an international and collaborative environment. Weekly presence in Mülheim and der Ruhr Office is expected.
How You’ll Make an Impact - Drive the financial success of steam turbine and generator projects by managing project controlling, forecasting, budgeting, and commercial order execution activities.
- Act as the key commercial business partner to Order Managers and project execution teams, supporting commercial decision-making and claim management activities.
- Prepare and support the planning and reporting of key business figures as baseline for management decisions
- Ensure accuracy and transparency of project financial data, bookings, and cost structures within SAP and related systems.
- You contribute to the continuous optimization of tools and processes by leveraging modern digitalization solutions.
What You Bring- Bachelor / MBA Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a comparable commercial qualification with relevant further training.
- Long-term experience in commercial project management, controlling, or finance within an international plant engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of project controlling, financial forecasting, reporting standards, and financial regulations such as IFRS and HGB.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP S/4HANA modules (FI/CO, SD, PS) and MS Office applications, as well as working experience in data analytics and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, Alteryx)
- Analytical, proactive, and structured working style
- Business fluent German and English skills, combined with strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities in complex matrix organizations.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
