In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the commercial success of our Grid Technology Service projects.

You will offer invaluable Commercial Support across the Grid Technology Service organization and related sites in the UK. Your efforts will support both the Grid Technology Service business and the broader Operational teams by providing essential Commercial reports and data. These insights will be crucial in driving informed decision-making within the business, all under the guidance of our Commercial lead.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Monitor the project costs to ensure they are within plan and budget; produce accurate costs forecasts and ensure that timely and accurate assessments of the costs at completion are in place.
• Responsible for ensuring a robust process is in place to lead all project change.
• Collaborate with Bid Management by providing support to win contracts. Helping ensure bids are compliant, competitive, and well-managed throughout the tendering process.
• Customer engagement by prioritizing communication, understanding customer expectations, and working closely with other teams to ensure projects meet and exceed customer needs.
• Prepares commercial documentation for regular project status meetings and ensures the accuracy of the commercial project data including the forecasting of revenue, profit and cash.
• Initiates invoicing according to project progress and contractual terms.
• Actively manages cost and invoices to optimise project cash flow.
• Ensures the application and continuous management of financial guarantees, bonds and project securities.
• Supports the Project Manager in identifying and minimising non-conformance costs (NCCs).in identifying, evaluating and assessing risks & opportunities.
• Ensures that timely contractual notifications are made.
• Together with the Project Manager and Commercial Contracts Manager; proactively manages contract administration.
• Manages customer expectations together with the Project Manager.

What You Bring

• CIMA qualified (or equivalent experience) with a strong understanding of commercial and financial control processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and iintercultural understanding.
• Strong understanding of commercial management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively.
• Possess advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP systems.
• Ability to forge strong relationships with stakeholders across departments and effectively manage their requirements.
• A self-starter and highly motivated, result-orientated individual with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
