The Combustion Chamber Specialist is responsible for inspection, maintenance, and refurbishment of combustion system components in Siemens Gas Turbines, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability in line with OEM standards. Extra edge for having the knowledge of mechanical assembly, disassembly, inspection, and repair of gas turbine modules and auxiliary systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely execution of maintenance activities.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Perform detailed inspection of combustion chambers, flame tubes, cross-fire tubes, fuel nozzles, and transition pieces.
- Carry out dismantling, cleaning, refurbishment, and reinstallation of combustion components.
- Ensure proper alignment, sealing, and fitment according to OEM specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings, service manuals, and engineering instructions.
- Disassemble and assemble gas turbine modules, including casing, rotors, bearings, seals, and auxiliary systems.
- Prepare and align components according to OEM assembly tolerances.
- Perform inspection and measurement of turbine parts, identifying wear or damage.
- Use precision tools, hydraulic tensioners, and lifting equipment safely.
- Assist senior engineers in installation and commissioning activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and integrity of turbine components during handling and storage.
- Follow technical procedures, manuals, and engineering specifications.
- Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy EHS rules and quality requirements.
- Document work performed and report any deviations to supervisors.
What You Bring
- Technical diploma/degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3–5 years of mechanical fitting experience in heavy-duty rotating equipment.
- Familiarity with Siemens Gas Turbine models and their mechanical layouts (preferred).
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches), alignment and torqueing techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and maintenance manuals.
- Knowledge of high-temperature alloys and coatings.
- Strong understanding of combustion efficiency, flow dynamics, and thermal stresses.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work in shifts or extended outages.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
