Principal Business Administrator – Inventory

How you’ll make an impact

  • Refine and develop tools to enhance data transparency and establish better control over approximately €190 million of inventory.
  • Collaborate with Operational Planning colleagues to devise inventory management strategies that optimize levels and turnover.
  • Develop forecasting methods and processes to model inventory levels based on current and five-year business plans.
  • Identify and implement best practices across Gas Service product lines.
  • Calculate stock provision requirements and pinpoint focus areas to mitigate write-off risks for the business.
  • Contribute to the product costing process for purchased and manufactured parts, ensuring accuracy in customer bids by analysing price movements.
  • Analyse production cost variances, considering factors such as material, labour, scrap, and external processing.
  • Support critical business projects, including the introduction of new technologies like manufacturing execution systems and digitalization tools.

What You Bring

§  Strong communication skills in interfacing with internal departments, Siemens Energy partner companies and external audit partners.

§  Applies specialist knowledge and experience to problem solving, where solutions may have to be defined and resolved.

§  Able to create new working principles and digital models for rest of team to use for new approaches to complex items.

§  ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified (or equivalent)

§  A minimum of 5 years experience in financial / commercial roles or ability to show suitable professional qualifications through experience > 4 years

About the team

You will work within the SGT Operations Finance team. We provide all management accounting and reporting for the SGT (Small Gas Turbines) manufacturing operations, including Procurement, Quality & EHS and Manufacturing.  

·       Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonisation opportunities through service offerings, modernisation, and digitalisation of the fleet.
