Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support the customer interface within the assigned district. Manage district non-conformance costs and the identification of technical and commercial risks and opportunities. Support the performance of on-site technical projects in the design, development, installation and maintenance of equipment and systems of a complex nature. Work with internal and external customers to develop complex maintenance plans.
  • Support district’s financial Profit & Loss and required reporting. Build purchase orders for vendors and monitor purchase orders on projects. Review and track vendor invoices, comparing them to estimates before approval. Track project tooling costs and ensure accurate job closeout with tool facilities.
  • Support platform team with planning and estimating to develop complex proposals. Perform the review of complex task plans, drawings, and installation schematics, providing continual mentorship throughout task duration. Communicate key technical, commercial, and customer issues upward to District Management.
  • Provide daily in-person support of the platform team in the District Office (including LTP and Sales). Support emergent customer requests to provide "outstanding" customer service. Collaborate with other departments to continuously improve Siemens Energy products and service.
  • Build project resource plans, including dispatch of district engineers and product line personnel.
  • Collaborate with BOA to monitor district financials in SAP and ProMo. Keep track of the progress on the jobs for billing and invoicing breakthroughs. Monitor job site and shop EWA’s for completion and invoicing. Develop MS Excel billing/invoice tracking spreadsheets for large jobs and support the development of budgets and estimates for the current and future workload within the district.

What You Bring

  • Experience in general maintenance of large gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and associated equipment. Preference for technical expertise in large gas turbine maintenance and operation.
  • BS/BA in a business-related field or engineering plus a minimum of 5+ years of experience.
  • Experience working with union & non-union labor is required.
  • Proficiency with Primavera and/or Microsoft Project scheduling software, SAP, and Excel. Experience developing and managing Financial Budgets is essential.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
  • The required location is in the Kansas City District Office. Travel up to 25% may be necessary.
