A Snap Shot of your Day:

Working under the mentorship of the Plant Manager and in collaboration with the O&M services contract, undertakes a wide range of administrative and/or technical tasks. With frequent access to confidential data, this job requires frequent exercise of good judgment and initiative and independent analysis.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Performs secretarial/receptionist/administrative duties for the site staff. Inputs manual timesheets for plant staff into company system. Researches errors and discrepancies with payroll to ensure payment accuracy. Completes's plant payroll reports for operational and budgetary needs. Ensures all payroll records are complete for filing and follows with supervisors/employees for missing documents.
  • Compiles, edits, analyzes and assists in the preparation of reports, studies and documents, as needed.
  • Develops and implements administrative and clerical procedures for the flow of correspondence, control and distribution of incoming and outgoing documents and other routine clerical matters.
  • Keeps current files and records on specific site material, including personnel information.
  • Performs sophisticated operations on word processing, graphics, spreadsheets and other information transmission systems. As well as functions as back-up for the accounts payable admin assistant and contact person/back-up for Plant Manager.
  • Follows all safety/environmental policies, procedures, rules and participates in training. Promotes the company's safety vision through actions and conduct. And follows all company policies and expectations and behaves in a manner that promotes the Company's values and positively effects morale.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or relevant experience, supplemented by specialized secretarial courses or their equivalent. 4 years proven ability in administrative/clerical responsibilities, preferably in a power plant or similar working environment.
  • Solid understanding of word processing. PC proficiency in Word and Excel. Familiarity with efficient filing systems and procedures, along with the ability to write professional business letters and reports and handle telephone conversations effectively. Knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred.
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communication. Proficiency in numerical analysis. Demonstrated accurate typing/word processing abilities, operating information transmission equipment, plus the ability to develop and apply office procedures and, as required, personnel and other company policies.
  • Ability to work scheduled hours and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
