A Snapshot of Your Day
In this role you will partner with Siemens Energy Accounting & Controlling Operations, and Americas Siemens Energy Accounting & Controlling teams to develop and design initiatives and optimize financial processes across the Americas. By driving automation, operational improvements, and critical initiatives, it enhances efficiency and transparency. Collaborating with IT, service partners, and cross-functional teams, the role drives end-to-end process enhancements for SAP and non-ERP systems. It also fosters collaboration across global teams to streamline financial operations and achieve organizational goals.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Collaborate closely with Accounting Operations and Americas Accounting & Controlling teams to define project requirements that aligns with organizational roles and global initiatives.
- Initiate and manage process improvement initiatives and digital solutions using cutting-edge technologies such as Machine Learning (ML) for efficiency and accuracy, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to streamline repetitive tasks, and Business Process Management (BPM) solutions for optimized workflows.
- Partner closely with IT to implement accounting and controlling tools and applications, ensuring seamless integration while driving process changes.
- Identify requirements for data & process reengineering and work across various departments to implement digital or operation-driven changes.
- Define benefit models for potential projects and ensure that the value delivered by each project outweighs the associated costs.
- Explore new ideas and gather industry best practices and apply them to our processes.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, process improvement, or project-related roles.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and data extraction.
- Experience working with SAP, specifically in FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling), optional MM (Materials Management) modules. Knowledge of similar ERPs is also valuable.
- Demonstrated ability to improve, automate, and standardize financial processes.
About the Team
You will be part of the Accounting Operations Team within Projects and Systems department, by playing a pivotal role in the Accounting Operations Team. We focus specifically on process improvement and innovation within the Projects and Systems department all over the Americas and worldwide.
